How permed curls work? My hair is straight naturally. I got it permed(curled) some 2months ago.?

I want to get back my natural straight hair.

When we get our hair permed, does it work only on the exisiting grown hair?

When the hair grows, does the perm applies to the growing part of hair?

I can wait till the curled part grows enough long and then have a haircut. Will this way remove curls from my hair?

I am dont want to use method which is hard on my hair. Any natural method will be appreciated.

The perm only affects the hair that was on your hair at the time of your perm. It is permanent on that hair. When your hair grows, the new hair at the roots is not going to be permed, it's going to grow out of your head the way your natural hair is. The only way to get the perm out of the hair you permed is to cut it off. Keep in mind though that hair only grows about 1/2 an inch per month, so depending on how long your hair is and how often you cut it, you could still have perm on your ends for a year or more.
