What can I do to curl straight hair and make it last all day without getting a new hairspray or curling iron? Extra hairspray or something? Any tips?! PLEASE HELP

use a ceramic curling iron that heats up to like 400 and put a styling cream in before you do, dometing like a styling liquid that wont leave your hair hard or crunchy!

Don't wash your hair on the day that you curl it. Wash it about 2 days before, cuz the natural grease(sounds nasty, but its not) helps keep the hair in place.

I've found that the best hairspray is Herbal Essences ($2, drugstores) or Thermasilk ($4, drugstores).I don't know which one you have, but avoid spraying on too much. That will make your hair look cakey and fake.

I put an extra hold gel in my hair while it's wet. Once it dries, I spray each section of hair w/hair spray or spritz right before I curl it. It will give you a very springy curl at first. Once you have done your whole head, give it a once over with hairspray again. If you don't want the curls to be as springy, you want them a little looser, just run your fingers through them lightly. And try not to play with it during the day, the oil from your hands will take your curl out in no time.

Extra hairspray! I have naturally curly hair, but it's somewhat wavy so I use curlers sometimes and that gives the same look as a curling iron. After my hair is curled, I get my hair into place, then spray it all around with Dove Hairspray (cheap and I love it). You could also consider trying Sunsilk shampoo for curly hair. It works so well.
