I am bi-racial. And I have curly/frizzy hair and I never straighened my hair and I cannot stand some stupid comments like "my hair looks messy etc... I find it very offending and even racist.
why straight hair = beautiful hair = clean etc?
My hair is gorgeous actually but each time there are some big events some idiots will ask me whether I am going to straighen my hair for the occasion?!!!
Why don't I reduce my lips also? I mean seriously????
Is it because I am relatively fair skin and green eyes, so that white people don't notice I am biracial, and make some idiotic comments without realizing that it is offending???
What's wrong with frizzy hair anyway?
What do you think about comments like "her hair looks better when it's straight, sleek etc"?
I always like to have curlier hair, because I have straight

Oh gawd! Here we go again, "I'm biraical so pitty pitty pitty"-who cares what you are-if your hair is ugly, then fix it! I do. And, whats wrong with frizzy hair?..The word "frizzy" says it all. If you like it like that, then fine-don't listen to any body else. My use to be very sleek and thin, but after I turned 8 years old, my hair became think and waivey-now what do I do about it?..I blow dry it-it takes me 30-40 minutes, but I like it -I like doing my hair (well most of the time).

Maybe you should hang out with more black people. We may be more accepting of kinky hair. As for what people are saying about your hair, either change your hair or stop caring what they think because people aren't going to change their preferences for you. Those are the rules of the game.
