Does anyone else notice the disturbing epidemic of straight hair??

I dont understand this. I mean i get that once in a while when you go out its okay. But every single girl straightens her hair. I realize you dont wanna look ugly and be w/ frizzy hair...but its an obsession. Every single girl i look like has straight hair. Its not normal...everyone with their hair. I saw about 9 girls today...hanging out in a darn pack and all of them had straight hair. Whats wrong with that??

i hate how people with curly hair just straighten it.

i was born with naturally straight hair and while i like it, the only thing i can do to get it wavy is braid it at night. sometimes i want it wavy during the day but i can't have it wavy. curling irons don't work, but i wish they did.

the lucky girls with naturally curly hair just fry it by straightening it.

I have curly hair. =) I love it and I wouldn't want straight hair even if I had the option. I do sometimes straighten it just because it goes better with certain outfits but 90% of the time my hair is full of loose curls. =)

There's nothing wrong with that. Straight hair has been in for a long time now. Plus, it's basically a proven fact that guys are most attracted to girls with medium to long length hair that's straight. So maybe that's what's with the straight hair.

What city do you live in? Sometimes, these trends can be provincial, due to homogonized thinking in hair salons.

In my city, San Francisco CA, there is no epidemic of straight hair that I know of. In fact, to see straight hair in the city is a little last century.

New technologies in hair products might bolster curlier styles, so just be patient!

they wanna be just alike....when i was a kid they all wanted perms around their shoulders...i wanted that too but i had long hair...now my hair looks like i got a perm today which sucks cause i cant keep the curls or frizz out of it...so i dont bother its way to much work to try to straighten it

Not true that every girl straightens their hair. I have straight hair and have never ever straitened it nor do I need. I guess I am fortunate not to have frizzies.

I'm exactly in the same situation... My hair gets messy everyday. And when I look at my friends' hair it seems like I'm the only girl in this world with frizzy hair.

didnt this trend started like almost 5 years ago?? when rebonding technique came out.. for me, i have been rebonding my hair almost on an annual basis, bcos my original hair is frizzy and has alot of fly away hairs, making me look very untidy.

i know what u mean, but thats not completely true.. pplenty of girls crunch or curl their hair. and ebsides, there ISNT anything wrong with that.
