I had really straight hair but then I got a haircut with layers up to my shoulders and now my hairs really wavy how can peoples hair be so different i just dont understand (before I got my haircut it was up to my waist I like long hair its cute)

When your hair was longer, it was probably straightened by its own weight. Now you probably let it dry "scrunched" rather than straight out.

It might not be enough to show on short hair and it might disappear on long hair dried-straight.

it's genetics. Your parents carry THEIR parents genes also, so if like your grandmother or grandfather on either side (or their parents, blah blah) has curly hair, then you have a statistical chance of getting it.
