you can't really get a proper Afro unless you have the rite hair type. there are ways like wigs and weaves but if you have dead straight hair you will find it very hard....sorry

you could try using hair mouse and scrunching it to get that very popular messy curl look

if u want tite curls all the time you could even get a perm

I wouldnt really do that LOL but if you really want to then you would have to perm your hair three time in about six months but it would damage your hair abit and it will really be afro and you would have to treat your hair aswell. so really think hard before just doing it!

i say if you want to do it then do it and forget about what all of these other girls on here say..if you want like shakira hair which isnt like a afro but it kinda looks like one then you can try permacurl which is at like walmart or walgreens and if you want an actual afro then i would say that you would have to get a perm..but jsut remember what your doing and how you will feel in it and how you are going to pull it off..on somepeople it looks cute and on some, it looks horrid..good luck!!

You can't really make straight hair into afro hair. They are too completely different things. Afro hair is highly textured, usually very tightly coiled hair. It is impossible to make straight hair do that. If you truly have naturally straight hair, you'r only options really would be to wear a weave or a wig. Sorry, wish I could be of more help!
