I want long straight hair which just lays flat. My hair is naturally thick and takes ages to straighten. My hairdresser told me I needed choppy layers putting in but now my hair looks even thicker. I still have longish hair, what can I do?

If you don't have access to a straightener, get a clothing iron, lay your hair out on a towel (Lay down on the ground) and iron it like a shirt :)

some hair-dressers offer a straight-perm, they use perm solution put instead of using rollars to make it curly they put weights on the end of your hair to make it straight. im not sure how expensive this is but it lasts intill it grows out. Boots started doing a home kit not so long ago but you cant use it on bleached or dried out hair, look into it.

ask your hairdresser to thin out your hair - it won't be a problem if you have thick hair so dont be too worried about that. As for straight hair, i'm sorry but the daily/ every 2nd day ritual with a straitner is needed.

my hair is thick and wavey too, you should get it layered it thins it out. Then straiten it my hair felt so much lighter when i did that. Getting it chemically straitened is a good idea then you dont have to do it every day. good luck!

Straighten in, get a good shampoo and conditioner too. Also you could ask your stylist to thin your hair, that's what I have to have done to reduce the poof. Also, straightening serums help sometimes too.

What I do that may help you is. Straighten it with a good flatiron! I prefer a CHI (website below)

The worst thing to do is get it layered I tried and it only looks more poofy. Secondly, I don't recommend chemically straighten that will damage your hair.

1st. Wash Hair

2nd. Blow dry hair well

3rd. Put Serum I use John Freda Serum

4th . Get a lot of clips and layer your hair

5th. Start from the lower back and straighten 1 layer at a time.

Sometimes you mall have to go over the part your straightening with more then 1 stroke with the flatiron depending on how thick you hair is...
